Synopsis

In need of money, Saguna quits college to work in the sugarcane fields with her family. With no bathrooms for tens of thousands of workers, menstruating women are forced to miss days and pay fines. Many undergo illegal hysterectomies to avoid this. As Saguna shoulders her family’s burden, she’s referred to one such clinic, facing a heartbreaking decision.
